A few lessons

Yesterday the sun came out a couple of times! It is very exciting to see it at all these days. I had to capture the bit of blue sky I saw right away!

We ventured to a local place known for good dumplings. It was very difficult to find (the name we read in our little book is VERY different from the name in cyrrilic). As this is a local place, the menus do not come in English, and neither to the waitresses. For the first time in my life I was happy to have a menu in front of me with a photo for every item. In the past I have hesitated to darken the door of any restaurant advertising their food with photos. All I had to do was point to what I wanted and the waitress understood - though I did end up with very different dumplings than I intended. Also, sushi is SUPER popular here. So many places have a sushi menu and a normal menu. I now think it is ok. This doesn't mean I will be ordering raw fish in the middle of the european continent, but I will happily patronize a restaurant where others do.
