This Sunday I will fly to Africa to meet Elena for our continental adventure! It is going to be quite the trip. I hope to blog from down there with snapshots of our activities.
We will start in Malawi and then to Mozambique and finally to Morocco. Here are some more detailed maps:
In Malawi we will rent a car and drive up the coast of Lake Malawi. It looks beautiful and relatively untouched by large resorts.
In Mozambique we will start in the capitol, Maputo, and then fly north to Pemba. From there we will head up to a couple of the Quirimbas islands. I am looking forward to snorkeling and shelling (and all the other things one does on tiny islands).
Morocco is our final stop (after a long layover in London). We will take a bus in between Marrakesh and Fez. There are many things I am looking forward to; Moorish architecture, the bustle of the markets and hammams are some of them.
